Inauguration Day!

Parresh, Myself, Parresh's Dad Jim and Parresh's Aunt Gwen all went to downtown DC to celebrate the inauguration of President Obama. Instead of going to the Mall, we decided to go to the parade route along Pennsylvania Ave. This way we would be able to see the President and Vice President up close and personal as opposed to simply seeing them on a big screen TV in the mall.

The only downside was the temperature (approximately 19F was the high for the day) and the wait. While the inauguration ceremony started just before noon, the parade didn't start till after 3pm. However to get on the parade route, we had to show up at 7am to wait on line for security. This meant that we had a long day of waiting in the cold weather trying to stay warm.

All in all...it was worth it.
